Prostalex ® with saw palmetto extract is a natural product with the following medical indications and properties:

  • Reduces prostatic enlargement and inflammation.
  • Alleviates problems with burning and difficulty in urinating.
  • Eliminates "drip" when urinating.
  • Adjuvant for prostatitis, impotence, and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Ingredients: Each 500 mg. capsule contains: powdered saw palmetto fruit, 75 mg.; dried extract of Achiote leaves (Bixa orellana), 50 mg.; powdered cat's claw bark (Uncaria tomentosa), 100 mg.,; powdered chanca piedra leaves (Phyllantus niruri), 70 mg.; powdered horsetail stems (Equisetum arvense), 40 mg.; excipientes.
Advisory / Precautions: Keep away from children. Store the product in a place no greater than 86 degrees F., protecting it from heat. If symptoms persist, consult your medical practitioner.
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of this products' components.
Dosage instructions: Take two capsules with breakfast and dinner.
Additional comments on mechanism of action: Saw palmetto inhibits the production of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), responsible for the overproduction of cells, which ultimately causes a healthy prostate. Achiote (Bixa orellana): The steriods in this plant are responsible for the anti-inflammatory properties that popular medicine attributes to it for use in prostatic inflammation. Also, due to the presence of flavonoids, it is used as an effective diuretic acting on the urogenital system and regulating renal function. The results of pharmacological studies have substantiated its therapeutic actions, as diuretic, antigonorrheal and antibacterial, that reinforce the beneficial action of achiote on the prostate and genitourinary tracts, that reinforce the beneficial action of achiote on prostate and genitourinary tract, taking into account that prostatitis is inflammation usually of infectious origin and whose treatment requires antibacterial and diuretic products.
